We offer a fine china experience with the convenience of disposability. However you choose to use our products, our solution is simple and truly eco-friendly without ever compromising on quality or performance.
Our products are geo-neutral. They are made from the earth and return to the earth without causing any harm. By eliminating the need for recycling entirely, we’re solving the real problem behind single-use plastics.
Our products are made locally, with local raw materials, serving local communities. By streamlining the life cycle and use cycle of disposable packaging, we are lowering the true cost for companies, people, and the planet.
To eliminate the harmful effects of single-use plastics by providing superior performance and conscious consumption at an overall lower cost to society.
01MAKING IT BETTER
We believe that convenience doesn’t have to destroy our planet. That’s why we don’t compromise on quality, performance, or user experience. By combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative additive manufacturing principles, we are developing technology to print ultra-thin clay vessels to break our addiction to single-use plastic. Made with unaltered, natural materials that leave no environmental impact, our products are elegant, efficient, and sustainable by design. The real innovation lies in the customer experience we offer, by creating a truly versatile new product category that gives consumers a guilt-free choice over how and when to reuse. Enjoy a fine-china experience with the convenience of disposability that you deserve. And no, you won’t taste the clay.
Recycling is a time- and energy-intensive process. That’s why over 90% of all plastics ever produced have never been recycled. Instead, the vast majority ends up incinerated, or piling up in landfills and polluting our habitat. Even bioplastics and compostable plastics simply break down into microplastics and poison our water sources. Paper cups are lined with plastic too, creating a false belief that they are harmless. The real problem is not that plastic isn’t recyclable, but that it just doesn’t get recycled. We believe we have a responsibility to eliminate the negative impact of single-use products as we know them. That’s why our products are actually sustainable. We eliminate the need for recycling entirely because our materials are geo-neutral. What does this mean? We use only clay, water, and salt. Our materials are environmentally inert. They come from the earth and return back to earth without causing any harm. Just engineering from nature, for nature. That’s the promise of our drink to dust technology.
Our solution streamlines the life cycle and use the cycle of consuming food and beverages on the go, lowering the true cost for companies, people, and the planet. What do we mean by that? We manufacture our products in our decentralized micro-factories, source our sustainable raw materials locally, and serve local communities on demand using additive manufacturing techniques. By doing so, we significantly reduce our economic and environmental impact at every step. There are no hidden costs in making our geo-neutral products today, and no hidden costs of cleaning up any waste or pollution in the future. We are committed to always looking at the whole value chain of our service, and the ecosystem in which we exist. That’s why we developed an innovative solution that offers all the convenience of single-use products, all the flexibility of reusability, and all the benefits of sustainability.
Paper cups are lined with plastic to make them waterproof
Over 90% of all plastic ever produced has never been recycled
Our Clay Vessels
USE acids for pulp digestion
USE bleach for whitening
USE plastic for lining
USE ink for branding
NEED TO BE RECYCLED
NEED 100 YEARS TO BREAK DOWN
The manufacturing of paper cups involves many steps of sourcing, treatment, and long-distance transportation of materials, as well as the use of acids, bleach and plastic. Paper cups are lined with plastic to make them waterproof and therefore cannot be recycled as paper. Just like plastic cups, they end up in landfills for hundreds of years where they break down into even more harmful microplastics. Most paper cups marketed as “sustainable” are lined with renewable - but not recyclable or biodegradable - materials. And while some bioplastics may be compostable, this process is expensive and not commonly available in most geographies.
Our Clay Cups
We use clay to manufacture our cups. Clay is an abundant natural resource and has been used by humans for thousands of years to package and transport food and drink. We only use clay that has been sustainably sourced. Other than that, the only ingredients we add are water and salt. Our cups come from the earth and can return to the earth without creating any harm or requiring any further treatment. Add to that our regional sourcing of raw materials and our local production and distribution, and you’ve got one of the most sustainable cradle-to-earth solutions for single-use containers.
